I love photographing (my) dreams. I’m lucky to have a love, my Thi, who accepts and likes ♥ taking pictures with me (thank you, sweetie! L♥ve you).

Acho que já deu pra perceber, mas não custa repetir: sou (muito) sonhadora e roteirista. Sempre antes de dormir eu fico criando várias histórias de coisas que eu gostaria que acontecessem comigo. Fico torcendo para que essas minhas histórias se realizem quando finalmente começo a dormir (às vezes funciona), afinal, é nos sonhos que realizamos muitos de nossos desejos (aprendi isso nas aulas de Psicanálise. Aliás, já disse que me formei em Psicologia em 2012?)

I guess you could realize by now, but it’s worth saying it again: I’m (really) a dreamer and something of a screenwriter. Every night before falling asleep I create stories in my head, wishing they would happen to me. I keep hoping these stories come true when I finally fall asleep (sometimes it works), after all, it’s in dreams that we realize loads of our wishes. (I’ve learned that in my Psychoanalysis classes. By the way, have I mentioned that I graduated in Psychology in 2012?)

Gosto de ficar olhando o céu, as estrelas e pensando como é que seria se eu pudesse deitar em uma nuvem fofinha para ler, ouvir música e dormir. Uma coisa que eu adoro é contar estrelas. Sempre encontro algumas bem tímidas, que brilham fraquinho tentando não chamar atenção, mas que de alguma forma chamam a minha.

I like staring at the sky and the stars and wonder how nice it would be to have a fluffy cloud in which I could read, listen to music and sleep. Another thing I love to do is counting stars. I always find some very shy ones, that shine incredibly dimly, trying not to call attention to themselves, but somehow they catch mine.

Gosto de perceber detalhes que muitas vezes passam despercebidos pelos outros (como aquelas estrelas tímidas que falei ali em cima). Gosto de tentar mostrar através das minhas fotos que um simples objeto ou um lugar qualquer pode se tornar algo muito bonito, dependendo da maneira que você olhe e sinta.

I like noticing details that often go unnoticed by the others (just like the shy stars I’ve mentioned). Through my photography, I like trying to show that a simple object or place may become beautiful depending on the way you look at it and feel it.

A fotografia sempre foi presente na minha vida (antes mesmo de eu nascer!!! *clique aqui para entender*). Ganhei minha primeira câmera aos 9 anos e, aos 11 (lá em 1999), decidi começar uma das coleções que eu mais gosto: fotos 3×4. Guardo todas em uma caixinha e pretendo um dia montar um álbum bem bonito com todas elas ♥ Será que você que está lendo isso quer contribuir com uma 3×4? Pode ser sua ou de qualquer outra pessoa :)

Photography has always been a part of my life (even before I was born!!! *click here to understand*). I received my first camera when I was 9 and when I was 11 (back in 1999), I decided to start one of my favorite collections: 3×4 cm photos. I keep them in a little box and I intend to make a beautiful album with all of them one day. Maybe you, reading this now, would like to contribute with a picture? It may be yours or someone else’s. :)

Embora eu fale bastante sobre Paris nas minhas fotos, o meu sonho mesmo sempre foi morar em Londres. Não é que eu não ame o Brasil, mas a minha vontade de conhecer o mundo lá fora e falar em inglês fluentemente é grande! Aliás, quero conhecer e fotografar detalhes de vários países ♥

Although there are plenty of mentions of Paris in my pictures, my real dream has always been to live in London. Not that I don’t love Brazil, but I’m very keen to visit the world out there and speak English fluently. Moreover, I want to visit and photograph details of several countries.

Ao contrário de muitas pessoas, eu fico feliz em um dia de chuva e com o céu nublado. Barulho de chuva me relaxa e me deixa com vontade de sair cantando “i’m singin’ in the rain” como se a vida fosse um musical. Aliás, amo musicais!

Unlike many people, I’m happy in rainy and cloudy days. The sound of the rain relaxes me and makes me feel like “singing in the rain” as if life was a musical. I love musicals, by the way.

Amo o frio! Gosto de usar suéter, cardigã, casacos, meia-calça e tudo isso fica mais fácil de usar em dias frios. Um dia ainda terei o Natal dos meus sonhos, com muita neve e uma lareira quentinha. Não falei que sou sonhadora e roteirista? ;)

I love cold weather! I love wearing sweaters, cardigans, jackets, tights. And they’re much easier to wear in cold days. I hope one day I’ll have the Christmas of my dreams: a lot of snow and a warm fireplace. I told you I’m a dreamer and screenwriter, didn’t I? :)

Amo animais (lembrando que alguns seres como ~~baratas~~ não se enquadram na categoria “animais” para mim). Já tive duas tartarugas, quatro ratazanas adoráveis (sim, ratazanas!), dois camundongos fofos que pareciam algodão de tão macios, dois boxers lindos e hoje tenho um adorável cachorro chamado Spock que além de companheiro é meu despertador.

I love animals (just keep in mind that a few beings, as ~~cockroaches~~, do not fit in the “animals” category for me). I’ve had two tortoises, four lovely rats (yes, rats!), two cute mice that were so soft they felt like cotton, two beautiful boxers and nowadays I have an adorable dog named Spock, that besides being a great companion is also my alarm clock.

Vida sem ♫ música não é vida :) Se não estou com o meu iPod ou com o iTunes ligado, com certeza tem alguma música tocando na minha cabeça.

A life without ♫ music is not a life. :) If I don’t have my iPod or the iTunes on, be sure there’s a song playing in my mind.

Falando em música ♫, meu Beatle favorito sempre foi e sempre será o Ringo Starr ♥ Logo depois vem o George, o Paul e o John!

Speaking of music ♫, my favorite Beatle has always been and always will be Ringo Starr, followed by George, Paul and John.

Sou uma devoradora compulsiva de livros de bolso. Quando vou a uma livraria já vou correndo para a parte de pocket books (livros me deixam tão feliz). Preciso me controlar mais! A livraria Cultura é o meu paraíso. Finalmente abriu uma aqui em Curitiba.

I’m a compulsive pocket books reader. When I go to bookstores I immediately run to the pocket books section (books make me so happy). I gotta control myself! Cultura, a famous Brazilian bookstore, has just opened a branch here in Curitiba. That’s my paradise.
